It is intended for users who refer to use their existing cloning tools and hardware with the SSD. "answer": "The drive does not come with software, but Macrium Reflect makes a free version of their software that does a wonderful job, in a home environment.\r\nIf you are in a business environment, then perhaps Acronis or Clonezilla would be a good match. Personally, Macrium has always done a great job, but I can attest that booting from a cd version of Acronis is faster.",

"answer": "Hello Dave, SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) A400 series SSD by design is compatible with legacy SATA interface. SA400S37/120G will work fine in the older Toshiba Satellite, although not performing up to the advertised SSD speeds due to host system limitations, nonetheless A400 will outperform original hard disk drive to help enhance the system overall performance. A400 should physically fit the notebook internal drive bay using existing mounting hardware. PC will automatically detect the new SSD upon power up. After all, it makes sense - when we talk about SSD, first what we ask for is speed. It's not as good to use it even on SATA II as theoritical speed is half of SATA III. You wouldn't observe any improvement on SATA 1.5 if it were able to use.\r",

"answer": "Technically yes. As long as you aren't overclocked. Obviously it will also depend on the workload of the CPU. I have one of these on an i7-7700k overclocked to 4.8ghz all core and one on a 9700k stock. Both in itx cases. The 7700 will hit ~80c max under a long gaming session, the one on the 9700k has 2 fans in a push-pull configuration and rarely goes above 65c. With a good airflow case you shouldn't have an issue. Again this depends on how you use your CPU and whether or not you are overclocking.",
